Saving Lives Making a Difference

The origins of Help Meowt Catawba can be traced back to Roatan, Honduras, where Bella Green, the director resided for several years. Confronted by the dire state of stray cats and dogs– sickly, malnourished, and suffering – Bella took action to feed, spay/neuter and rehome as many as possible. 

Upon relocating to Hickory in 2021, Bella's commitment remained steadfast. A chance encounter with a tailless black cat ignited a localized movement that expanded to include an entire colony of cats. With a neighbor's collaboration, co-feeding initiatives commenced, ensuring sustenance and medical attention to this newly discovered feline community.

Bella's strategic partnerships amplified Help Meowt Catawba's impact. Volunteering as a phone volunteer for Friends of Feral Felines in Charlotte elevated the organization's network, while collaboration with Cats Cradle in Morganton unlocked fostering opportunities, elevating the scope of care provided.

Through a blend of calculated strategy and heartfelt dedication, Help Meowt Catawba exemplifies a mission-driven enterprise. Their motto, "Join us in our mission – to save as many cats as possible from hunger, pain, and the streets, when possible," resonates not only with those directly involved but also with the wider community eager to make a difference.
